The kids were really ready for school to start by the time it finally did-we had a two week delay due to a teacher strike. Calvin is loving 2nd grade and his teacher is amazed at how well he can read, and Abbey is the best kid in her Kindergarten class (we know this for sure because she told us herself).
What a bunch of cuties I have! Out in the front of the pumpkin patch they had tons set up and they were walking through them like a maze, Calvin and Abbey ended up following Blake and I just thought it was so cute to see them all in a row.
There were photo-ops stationed around the fields, so we tried out a couple of them-trying to get all five kids to look at the camera at the same time is like herding cats. The kids had lots of fun with their cousins, though!
Blake had a great time running around getting all muddy, even though he looks mad in this picture-he was tired of smiling for me. He wanted to take home all the pumpkins he could lift.
Success! We got four pumpkins-one for each kid, plus an extra for Calvin so he can make a cannibal jack-o-lantern.

Nice! Don't you just love fall? How did the cannibal pumpkin turn out?
Yes, I love Fall and we have had a beautiful one so far. We haven't made the cannibal yet-we're waiting until closer to Halloween to carve them so they stay nice. Bad news, though, some punk took Blake's pumpkin and smashed it in the street! Jerk.
